:: UNIC Motivational Concert - The Review ::

Sorry for keeping this blog unattended. Now, the direction of this blog has been changed. We are gonna start posting in English, InsyaAllah, and hopefully after this, every event organized by MELTECH will be posted here as soon as the event ended.
On February 15 2011, MELTECH organized a motivational concert in conjunction with the celebration of our Prophet's birthday, Rasulullah SAW. To make this event more interesting, we had invited UNIC as the motivator for the night. Not Dr. Fadzillah Kamsah, not Dr. Fazley, not Dr. Rozmey (what?? Dr. Rozmey??) but UNIC. All students were so thrilled to get to see UNIC performing live. Want a proof? The tickets were sold out like a hot stuffs and we thanked the students of UiTM Puncak Alam for the massive support. The tickets were sold RM5 per head and DK500, where the concert took place, was a full house.

UNIC started the concert off with a list of well-known songs from their previous album, before introducing themselves one by one. They sang a few songs, then continue with the motivational talk and sang again. I never thought that they were so funny to watch and they were looking so comfortable up there on the stage. I thought they were gonna be like talking about something boring and nerdy but instead, they cracked us with their impromptu jokes and stuff they talked about, and that changed my perception about them being nerdy and pious. They even played karaoke game with students who had been asked to come up on stage.
This event ended at 10 pm and all students got in line as soon as they were sat in front of a long table for the autograph-signing session. Based on what I heard from the students who went to the concert, none of them was a negative comments. Congratulations to the program director and the crews for making this concert exciting. Also, a big thank you to students of UiTM Puncak Alam for giving their massive support and for behaving like a student during and after the concert. May this be a starting point for something bigger in the future. InsyaAllah.
